SITAFAL ICE CREAM
INGREDIENTS
Milk Full fat 500 ml
Milk powder 2 tbsp
Custard apple (sitaphal) 1/2 cup
Condensed milk 2 tbsp
Sugar 2 tbsp
METHOD
- Take milk at room temperature. Add the milk powder and stir well till it dissolves. Make sure there are no lumps.
- Boil the milk till half then add condensed milk and mix well.
- Then add sugar and simmer for another 4-5 minutes.Allow to cool completely.
- Place a strainer over a bowl. Take the custard apple pulp in the strainer.
- Using a whisk or a spoon, whisk the pulp vigorously.
- You will notice the seeds separating from the pulp. Continue whisking till all the seeds are separated.
- Using a spoon, take away the seeds. Keep the pulp aside.
- In a blender, add the custard apple pulp and the boiled milk .
- Blend for 60 seconds.
- Pour into air tight containers and cover the lid.
- Freeze for 2 hours.
- The ice cream is partly set by 2 hours. Take this in the blender again and blend for 60 seconds.
- Pour back into the airtight container. Close the lid and freeze for 8 hours, or till it is set completely.
- Serve cold.
