THANDAI

Ingredients

almonds                           3 tbsp
cashew.                           1 tbsp
pistachios                        1 tbsp
poppy seeds.                   1 tbsp
melon seeds.                   1 tbsp
green cardamom             4-5
black peppercorns          1 tsp
gulkand or rose petals    2-3 tbsp
kesar.                              1-2 pinch
saunf.                             1/2 tsp
sugar.                             11/2 cup
water.                             250 gms

Method

  1. Take almond,cashews,pistachios,poppy seeds,melon seeds ,green cardamom,black peppercorns,saunf ,kesar 1 pinch in a bowl .
  2. Add some water and soak overnight or 4-5 hours.
  3. Next day make a smooth paste in mixer grinder with some little water.
  4. Take a big kadahi,add water, sugar and 1 pinch kesar and make a sugar syrup on high flame.
  5. Then add dry fruit paste and mix it.
  6. keep stirring for 10-15 minutes on low flame.
  7. If the mixture become thick then add little water and cook for another 2-4 minutes.
  8. Switch off the flame and cool this mixture completely and transfer this in a clean bottle.
  9. Enjoy this thandai in milk or in water.
