VRAT WALA DOSA


 Ingredients

sama ke chawal 1 cup
sabudana             ½ cup
rock salt                as required

For potato mixture 

Potato boiled   2
Oil                     1tbsp
Sarson seeds   1/2 tsp
Curry leaves    8-10
Dry red chilli   1-2
Roak salt           as required 

Method 
  1. Take both the sama ke chawal and sabudana in a bowl.
  2. Rinse then well and soak in enough water for 3 hours.
  3. Drain and then grind in a grinder.
  4. No need to add any water as the  grains absorb enough water to help with the grinding. But if you are unable to grind in your grinder then just add 2-3 tsp of water.
  5. The consistency of the batter will be smooth.
  6. Take the batter in a bowl and allow to ferment for 3-4 hours in sunlight. 
  7. Before preparing, add salt to the batter and mix well.
  8. In a pan heat oil and add sarson seeds, curry leaves and dry red chilli. 
  9. Now add mashed potatoes and salt to it and cook for 2minutes. Keep this aside. 
  10. Mix 1tsp oil and water in a bowl. 
  11. Heat nonstick tawa on low heat and sprinkle some oil water mixture on tawa and wipe it with cloth. 
  12. Put one small bowl of batter on tawa and spread it like dosa.
  13. Pour some ghee on the top and sides of the dosa and let them to cook. 
  14. Spread spoonful of potato mixture on it.
  15. Fold it when it becomes crisp and brown. 
  16. Serve samak dosa with  coconut chutney.
