METHI LAUNGI CHUTNEY

Ingredients

methi dana             1/2 cup
saunf                       1 tsp
jeera                         1 tsp
dry red chilli             4-5
sugar                         1/4 cup
amchur                      2 tbsp
coriander powder     1 tsp
red chilli powder        1/2 tsp
haldi                             1/2 tsp
hing                              1/4 tsp
salt                               to taste
water                            2 cup

Method

1  Soak methi dana,saunf,jeera,dry red chilli in water for 5-6 hours so that the seeds will swell to be                                                                        about three times in volume. Drain the water.
2  Soak amchur in 1 cup water for 2-3 hours separately in a bowl.
3  Heat a kadahi on high flame and add amchur water and one more cup of water and mix well.
4  Now add the above soaked seeds and mix well.
5  Add haldi,salt,coriander powder,red chilli powder,hing,sugarand mix well.
6  Cook it on high flame until first boil and then reduce the heat and cook for 20-30 minutes.Keep   stirring in between.
7  Switch off the flame and cool down the temperature of methi launji.
8  Serve it with poories,samosas or kachoris.
