INGREDIENT
For chutney
Coriander 1 cup
Mint leaves 1/2 cup
Lemon juice 1 tsp
Green chilli 2-3
Salt to taste
Water to grind
For Aloo masala
Boiled potato 6
Oil 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Curry leaves 1 sprig
Chopped coriander 2 tbsp
Haldi powder 1/2v tsp
Ginger paste 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Lemon juice 1 tsp
For Sandwich
Soft butter 50 gms
Cucumber slices 15-20
Tomato slices 10-15
Capsicum slices 5-10
Onion slices 5-10
Chaat masala 1 tbsp
Grated cheese 1/2 cup
Sandwich bread 6 slices
Nylon sev to sprinkle
Method
- In a mixer grinder , put all the ingredients of the chutney and grind it to make a chutney.keep aside in a bowl.
- In a kadai heat oil ,add mustard seeds, ginger paste and curry leaves .Saute and allow to splutter.
- Then add boiled and mashed potatoes.
- Then add turmeric,chilli powder and salt.
- Add chopped coriander and lemon juice.Mix and mash potato well.
- Turn off the flame and aloo masala stuffing is ready. keep aside.
- Take three slices of bread and spread soft butter and green chutney .
- Top one bread slice with 2 slices of onion ,5 slices of tomato and some grated cheese.
- Sprinkle a pinch of chaat masala to season vegetables.
- Put another slice of bread and now spread a tbsp of prepared aloo masala.
- Top with 2 rings of capsicum ,5 slices of cucumber,some grated cheese and sprinkle chaat masala.
- Cover with another bread slices and spread butter.
- Toast the sandwich with some butter to golden and crisp.
- Spread some butter and great some cheese and cut the masala toast sandwich into 4 pieces .
- Finally, sprinkle sev and chaat masala before serving masala toast sandwich.
- Serve sandwich with tomato ketchup.
