For cone
maida 1 cup
suji. 1 tbsp
ghee. 1 tsp
salt. to taste
oil. for frying
For chat
boiled chana. 1/2 cup
boiled potato 1/2 cup
onion chopped 2 tbsp
tomato chopped 2 tbsp
coriander chopped 1 tbsp
lemon juice 1 tsp
chat masala 1/2 tsp
bhuna jeera 1/4 tsp
salt to taste
thick curd. 1/2 cup
imli chutney 1/2 cup
Method
- Mix all the ingredients of cone in a bowl,make a stiff dough using water as required.Keep aside for 15 minutes.
- Divide the dough into equal portions and roll it into a chapati,using little flour for rolling.
- Using a knife,cut into thin long strips.
- Take a cone shape small glass or mould,roll these strips around the cone like a coil,starting from the pointed end towards the broader end,till the entire cone is uniformly covered with the strips.
- Seal well to ensure that it doesn't open.
- Heat oil in a deep kadahi and deep fry the cones till they turn golden brown in colour.
- Drain on absorbent paper.
- Once the cones have colled a bit,shake the cone mould.Keep the cone aside .
- Mix the chat ingredients in a bowl except chutney and curd.
- Fill the cone with chat ,top it with chutney and curd.
- Decorate it with sev.
- Serve immediately
