PACHRANGI DAL

Ingredients

massor dal.         1/4 cup
moong dhuli dal. 1/4 cup
channa dal.          1/4 cup
arhar dal.              1/4 cup
urad dhuli dal.      1/4 cup
salt                        11/2 tsp
haldi.                      1/2 tsp

Tadka
ghee.                           3 tbsp
jeera                            1 tsp
green chilli                  2-3
ginger                          1"piece
tomato chopped.       2
garam masala            1/2 tsp
chilli powder              1/2 tsp
curry  leaves              4-5
coriander chopped   1 tbsp
lemon juice.               1 tbsp

Method

  1. Wash all the dals and soak for one hour.
  2. Boil dal with 4 cup water,salt and haldi in a pressure cooker for one wishtle.Keep aside.
  3. Heat ghee in a pan.Add jeera,curry leaves,when they splliter add ginger and chilli and saute for 1-2 minutes on low flame.
  4.  Add tomatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes till they mashed ,now add garam masala and chilli powder and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Add this tadka to dal and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Add coriander and lemon juice.
  7. Serve hot with chapatis and rice.
