STUFFED POORIES

Ingredients

flour (atta).  1 cup
maida.          1/4 cup
urad dal.       4 tbsp
oil.                  2 tsp
salt.                1 tsp
red chilli          1 tsp          
ajwain.             1/4 tsp
 hing                 1/4 tsp

Method

  1. Soak the urad dal for 2-3 hours in 1 cup water.
  2. Mix maida ,atta ,1/2 tsp salt and oil in a big parat or bowl. 
  3. Knead little stiff dough with water and keep aside.
  4. Grind the dal in mixer with little water if necessary.
  5. Then mix red chilli,ajwain and hing in dal mixture .
  6. Take a small portion of dough,lemon size in your hand and press a little with wet hands and spread a pinch of salt and 1 tsp dal mixture and roll again like ball and flat it with hands like poories.
  7.  Heat oil in a kadahi,fry the poories by pressing it with frying spoon till golden brown from both sides.
  8. Drain these poories on tissue paper.
  9. Serve poories with aloo sabzi and pickle.
