GAJAR KA HALWA

Ingredients
Gajar/ carrots.         1/2 kg
Milk.                       1 liter
Sugar.                      2-3 tbsp
Elaichi powder       1 tsp
Almonds chopped  1/4 cup        

Method

  1. Choose fresh young or tender carrots.
  2. Wash them under running water.Peel them and great in a hand grater or food processor.keep aside.
  3. Take a heavy bottom pan and bring milk to a boil.
  4. Add grated carrots and begin to stir.
  5. Cook until the milk has completely evaporated.Keep stirring constantly to prevent burning.
  6. Add sugar and stir.Sugar released lot of moisture.
  7. Cook until half the moisture evaporates.
  8. Add elaichi powder and some almonds.
  9. Garnish halwa with chopped almonds.
