Method
- Wash the amlas thoroughly .
- Boil plenty of water in a pan,add the amlas and boil for 10 minutes over a high flame. Drain and keep aside.
- Put the amlas in a bowl and add the sugar and 1/2 cup of water.
- Cook it on a slow flame and bring a boil in it.
- Keep it aside for 1 day.
- Next day again boil it and keep aside.
- Repeat it for 2-3 days,so that the amlas soak in the syrup completely.
- Allow it to cool completely.
- Bottle in a sterilised jar. Store for upto 1 year at room temperature.
