NAN KHATAI

INGREDIENTS
Maida.                                      200 gms
Suji.                                          100 gms
Cooking oil/ ghee/ butter          150 gms
Sugar                                         150 gms
 Curd.                                         2 tbsp
Green cardamom powder           1 tsp
Baking soda                                1/4 tsp
Pistachios ( finally chopped).     20 gms
Milk                                            4-5 tbsp

METHOD

  1. Beat oil/ ghee/ butter, sugar and curd together.
  2. Sieve the Maida,suji,baking soda in a bowl.
  3. Add to the curd mixture.Add milk and make a soft dough.
  4. Divide the dough into 20 small balls.
  5. Preheat the oven on 160 degrees celcius.
  6. Place the balls 5 cms apart on non- stick tawa.Press each ball with your thumb and garnish with pistachio and cardamom powder.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes on lower rack.
  8. Cool it for 20-30 minutes and serve with tea or coffee.
